Merriam-Webster acquires Wordle clone Quordle
Quordle gained a lot of popularity after giving a tough comPetition to Wordle. Merriam Webster now has acquired a popular Wordle clone, Quordle.
Quordle worked on a similar idea to that of Wordle however, it offered four words that had to be solved in nine guesses. Each guess applies to all four words. The boxes change color to tell the user which guesses are correct.
Wordle started a trend where users would post screenshots of their answers and scores.
Quordle, along with other such apps, tried to cash in on its success. Quordle was able to gain 1 million players on the platform.
I'm delighted to announce that Quordle was acquired by @MerriamWebster
