In this article, we will formulate a Memphis vs Missouri Prediction for this College Basketball Game on Tuesday, November 5th, at the FedEx Forum.

Memphis Looks Different

After finishing last year with a 22-10 record overall, this Memphis Tigers team looks a lot different with only one returning scholarship player. Penny Hardaway made it clear that he wanted this team to be a lot tougher this season, and they believe the roster that is going to be exactly that.

One of the big additions to the squad was Tyrese Hunter, who averaged 10.7 points per Game last year for the Texas Longhorns. PJ Haggerty finished last year averaging 21.2 points per Game for Tulsa, and he should be a star here. PJ Carter is in from UTSA, and he’s an elite shooter who should bring that long range shooting here. I would expect this Memphis squad is going to again want to push the pace.

Will Missouri Be Better This Year?

The Missouri Tigers were nothing but a major disappointment last season, finishing with an 8-24 record overall, and they didn’t win one Game during conference play. The good news for Missouri is this team is they look a lot more talented than last year. Tony Peters last year averaged 14 points per Game for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Mark Mitchell averaged 11.6 points per game last year for Duke, and he’s going to be a starter for this team. Even though this team has a lot of new players, they also have some solid returning action. Tamar Bates averaged 13.5 points per game, and he’s back for another year with the squad.

Memphis vs Missouri Prediction

Yes, Memphis is very talented, and I expect they are going to have a very good season, but this Missouri team is a lot better. Missouri has PJ Haggerty, and he’s going to have a huge Game. This Game is going to be a high scoring Game, but I really don’t trust the Memphis defense to make many stops here. Missouri might not win, but they will keep it within a possession. Back Missouri against the spread.
