Mama Cat Begs Her Rescuer To Let Her Out So She Can Take Care Of Her Injured Babies

A stray cat mama begged her rescuer to let her back out so she could lead her to save all her babies. One of them needed a lot of help.

“Earlier this week a woman in Port Coquitlam spotted a mama and two kittens emerging from a carport,” Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association said.

“The kind Samaritan took the little family inside but the mama begged to be let back out. Once outside she went back to the carport and one by one brought out five more kittens!”

They immediately called VOKRA for help, and now the big feline family of eight is in good hands at their foster home.

Soon after they took in the furry family, they noticed that one of babies walked a bit differently.

“Mom is very sweet and her mix of babies are likely no more than 4 weeks old.”

“Unfortunately one little guy has a very damaged back leg and is missing his foot,” VOKRA said. “The wound has been there for awhile and is infected, but with some TLC he’ll hopefully be able to live a normal life.”

“He’s got the most amazing silver fur so he’s been lovingly dubbed Long John Silver!”

The kitty is doing so much better now that he’s even started practicing walking with just three legs.

What a trooper!

Thanks to their mama cat, Sassie, all seven kittens get to snuggle together in a safe and warm home.
