Luis Enrique offers hilarious response to Kylian Mbappe questions ahead of Champions League clash
Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique had some fun at the expense of the media as he dodged questions about Kylian Mbappe during Tuesday's press conference.
Mbappe has not completed 90 minutes since news of his imminent departure from PSG was made public, even being substituted in the last two games as Enrique warned his side they must get used to playing without their talisman.
Ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Real Sociedad, Mbappe's future was once again a hot topic in Enrique's press conference, but the boss did his best to avoid the subject.
Enrique repeatedly joked that he was having trouble understanding his translator whenever a question about Mbappe was asked, looking visibly frustrated at times as he brushed off the questions.
"It's very easy to manage [all the Mbappe questions]," he eventually admitted. "I just take whatever questions the journalists want and answer whatever I want, that's my formula.
"The match is so important that there are no comments to be made [about Mbappe]."
Asked whether PSG would also have to learn to live without Mbappe in the Champions League, Enrique added: "Maybe yes, maybe no. Who knows?"
Reports have suggested that Mbappe and PSG will publicly confirm his exit from the club only after the French side's Champions League journey comes to an end. Real Madrid are expected to win the race for his signature.
PSG head into Tuesday's last-16 second leg with Real Sociedad in an imposing position. They picked up a 2-0 win at Parc des Princes last month, with Mbappe opening the scoring and playing the full 90 minutes.
News of his departure broke less than 24 hours after that first leg and Mbappe has not completed a full Game since. He came off the bench in the first Game against Nantes before being withdrawn on the hour mark against Rennes and at half-time against Monaco, despite PSG needing to score in both Games.
