Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler and his wife, McKenzie Marcinek, have been going strong since they were teenagers.
The couple first met in kindergarten but didn’t start talking to each other until eighth grade.
“In the eighth grade, our class went to the mall, and McKenzie walked up to me and asked if I wanted to walk around with her,” Buehler told Inside Weddings in fall 2022. “I was pretty shy at the time, and I remember thinking and admiring how confident she must have been to have done that. I was mesmerized.”
The duo got engaged in November 2020 and tied the knot in December 2021.
“I come from a big Catholic family and before my grandma passed away, I promised her I would get married at our parish,” Marcinek explained to Inside Weddings in fall 2022.
Nearly three years after getting married, the twosome welcomed their first child, daughter Finley, in February 2024.
Later that year, McKenzie supported Walker in the World Series as the Dodgers took on the New York Yankees in October 2024.

Although the duo initially met in kindergarten, they didn’t start dating until the 8th grade.

Buehler was called up to the majors — and Marcinek celebrated with a sweet social media post.
“Congratulations babe, I am so happy that your dreams are finally coming true and getting called up!!” she wrote alongside a photo of the couple. “I can’t wait to see you in LA!!”
June 2019
The duo attended the Dodgers Blue Diamond Gala with Buehler wearing a navy suit and Marcinek dressing up in a yellow gown.
October 2020
Marcinek celebrated the Dodgers winning the World Series with an Instagram tribute post to Buehler.
“It has been an absolute dream watching & being by your side through this crazy journey of baseball life!” she shared at the time. “It’s crazy to think watching you play back in high school was just the start of it all. Thank you for remaining true to yourself and I am so beyond excited to be your wife in a little over a year 😘I love you more than words can express.”
November 2020
The twosome got engaged after going home from spring training due to the COVID shutdown.
“We got home, and I proposed the next evening,” Buehler told Inside Weddings in 2022.
December 2021
Buehler and Marcinek tied the knot in December 2021.
“My amazing HUSBAND 🤍,” Marcinek wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her and Buehler kissing at their wedding.
January 2024
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter.
