Celtic solidified their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a decisive 3-0 victory against St Mirren at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon.

The win propels the Hoops temporarily four points clear of their closest rivals, Rangers, who are set to face Ross County in Dingwall on Sunday.

The match saw Celtic dominate the second half with three different players finding the back of the net. Among the scorers was Kyogo Furuhashi, who netted a rare header in the 60th minute from a well-placed cross by Alistair Johnston.

On Sunday morning, Kyogo took to Twitter and posted:

“I will continue to work hard to play more powerfully from now on! I won’t lose to myself.”

The Game started off at a slower pace, with Celtic struggling to break down a resilient St Mirren defence. However, the dynamic changed drastically in the second half as Celtic increased their intensity. Alistair Johnston emerged as a key player, providing two assists that helped dismantle the visitors’ defence.

The win is crucial for Celtic as they maintain their lead in a tightly contested title race, albeit Rangers do have two Games in hand.

With only a handful of Games remaining, every match is critical.
