Nothing is as it seems for Kate McKinnon.

The comedian had the 2024 Oscars audience erupting with laughter Sunday night when she joked that she had been sending Scandalous images of herself to Jeff Goldblum.

While standing on stage with America Ferrera inside the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, McKinnon learned for the first time that the dinosaurs in “Jurassic Park” aren’t real. And to make matters worse, the “Barbie” star told her that franchise star Goldblum, 71, isn’t “real” either.

This prompted McKinnon, 40, to ask, “Then to whom have I been spending my tasteful nudes?”

That’s when the camera panned to legendary director Steven Spielberg, who eagerly pointed to himself.

Goldblum was not shown in the audience and reps for the star did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. He did not walk the carPet at the Oscars, but attended the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party with his gymnast wife, Emilie Livingston.

Spielberg’s role in the bit pleased viewers, and his pointing gesture was quickly made into a GIF.

“Steven Spielberg… they gotta get this guy in front of the camera more often,” one fan raved on X.

“I love how committed Steven Spielberg is to doing comedy bits and not taking himself too seriously,” another added.

A third viewer praised the “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” director as having “priceless” timing, while a fourth said he “pulled that off perfectly.”

His inclusion in the provocative joke wasn’t the first head-turning moment during the show on Sunday evening.

Earlier in the broadcast, John Cena shocked fans by ironically presenting the award for best costume design without clothes and only an oversized award card covering his nether region.

The trophy went to “Poor Things.”
