Joshua Kimmich 'open' to speaking to five clubs - and rules out moves to three others
Joshua Kimmich would consider a summer move to any of Arsenal, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City or Real Madrid but has ruled out joining Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in Germany.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has been linked with a transfer away from the Allianz Arena over the past year, and speculation has ramped up following their underwhelming 2023/24 season.
Bayern are set to miss out on the Bundesliga to Bayer Leverkusen, bringing an end to their run of 11 successive titles to an end. They have also been handed a tough draw in the Champions League, being paired with Arsenal in the quarter-finals and then having to face Man City or Real Madrid if they reach the last four.
Kimmich's contract expires in 2025, and since talks have not significantly progressed over a new deal, Sky Sport Germany report both Bayern and the player are open to facilitating a move away at the end of the season.
With a potential transfer in mind, Kimmich has given the green light to five destinations - Arsenal, Barcelona, Liverpool, Man City and Madrid.
90min revealed in October that Man City would step up their interest in Kimmich this summer, while several of Europe's top sides explored a move last year in case he became available.
Of Kimmich's five preferred clubs, two of them are still determining their plans for the future and searching for new managers, with Barcelona looking for a Xavi successor and Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool. Even his current side Bayern are on the hunt for a new head coach to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
In addition to these five sides, Kimmich is understood to have made it clear he will not consider joining Chelsea, United or PSG.
