Jayden Daniels Draft day disappointment

Jayden Daniels was picked number two in the 2024 NFL Draft, as expected going to the Washington Commanders.

But Draft Day didn’t go absolutely perfectly for Daniels, because he couldn’t complete his Game day superstition.

Daniels revealed in a pre-Draft interview that his Game day at LSU always started the same way: with an omelette and two waffles. He said the kind of waffle doesn’t matter, but the omelette should have cheese, bacon and some greens: spinach, onions and tomato.

But today, one of the biggest days of his life, he couldn’t fulfil the superstition - because the hotel he was staying at didn’t have any waffles, leaving him with just the omelette.

Daniels though seemed pretty relaxed about the waffle-less situation, saying he’d had them yesterday so it “kinda made up for it.”

Tomorrow he’ll hopefully be celebrating the start of his pro-career with the CoMMAnders, with a breakfast of champions: an omelette and two waffles…
