Dancing With the Stars season 33 is in the thick of the comPetition, but fans are wondering if week 7 will air in its regular time slot because of Election Tuesday on November 5, 2024.

There will be no new episode airing on November 5, 2024, as ABC will be airing a prime-time election special featuring live coverage of the presidential race, as well as other state races throughout the U.S.

When Does the Next Episode of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Air?

The show returns on November 12, 2024, in a big way. DWTS will mark its 500th episode, kicking things off with a group dance to Beyoncé‘s “Crazy in Love.” That song opened the very first episode of the dance comPetition’s inaugural season in 2005. The number will be choreographed by show pros Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach.

Also included in the landmark episode will be an “Instant Dance Challenge,” where contestants “won’t know the dance style or the song until approximately five minutes before performing it live,” according to an ABC press release.

The two-hour episode also promises the “dazzling return of some fan-favorite faces to the ballroom.”

The contestants who are still in the hunt for the Mirrorball trophy include retired NFL star and former Super Bowl champ Danny Amendola, Olympic rugby star Ilona Maher, The Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin actress Chandler Kinney, Olympic double bronze medal-winning gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and NBA veteran Dwight Howard.

What Dances Will the Contestants Be Performing in the 500th Episode?

The celebrities will be paying tribute to “iconic performances” from the past 32 seasons of DWTS, with their own twists on the routines.

Danny and partner Witney Carson will perform a Quickstep, inspired by former DWTS champs Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough’s performance in season five, set to “Hey Pachuco” by Royal Crown Revue.

Ilona and pro Alan Bersten will also perform a Quickstep, inspired by Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold’s performance in season 25, to “Chuck Berry” by Pharrell Williams.
