Images: Celtic Park Tunnel Area Gets Face Lift
Celtic Park’s tunnel are has got a new lick of paint and some subtle updates this week replacing some of the more old and worn graphics that the team and opposition see on match day.
The hall where the two teams congregate before heading out onto the hallowed turf of Celtic Park has a new design and new quotes on the wall.
One from our legendary Captain Billy McNeill calling Celtic an extraordinary club that demands extraordinary standards.
The other is of Paul McStay, another legendary captain for the Hoops. That quote acknowledges the Celtic support, branding them the essence of the club.
When you walk through into the small tunnel area where your shoulder to shoulder with your opponents, the words ‘you don’t play for Celtic, you live for Celtic, are at eye level as you come down the step.
Celtic’s tunnel area isn’t as grandiose as some huge clubs around the world. The main stand has been there a long time and does need upgraded. There is only so much you can do with it.
Well done to Matt Corr for grabbing the pics and sharing them on his social media.
