“If I’m Honest” – SSB Pundit Raves About Celtic’s Newest Hero
Scottish Football pundit Marvin Bartley has lavished praise on Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn following a string of standout performances. The German, who joined Brendan Rodgers’ squad in the summer, has been in blistering form, with six goals and eight assists in just eleven appearances across all comPetitions.
Kuhn was the hero in Celtic’s dramatic 2-1 comeback victory against Ross County on Sunday, netting the decisive goal to keep the Hoops’ perfect league record intact. His contributions have not gone unnoticed, with Bartley singling out the 24-year-old for special praise on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard.
“He’s been brilliant, he really has,” Bartley said. “I think we spoke about it last week on the show, you speak about not writing players off too early because many Celtic fans last season did. But this season, he’s really taken a Game by the scruff of the neck on so many occasions whether he starts or comes on as a sub. He’s been absolutely brilliant, breathtaking for them if I’m honest.”
Kuhn has adapted to Scottish Football. The winger’s direct play, pace, and end product have made him a vital cog in Celtic’s attack, and he’s become a key player under Rodgers.
Celtic’s Relentless Depth
Bartley also spoke on the strength of Celtic’s squad and how their depth has played a crucial role in their early-season success. “They wear you down, Celtic,” he remarked. “Mentally and physically, when they’re moving the ball, even when you’re bringing on substitutes, even if you’re winning against them, you think, wow, I have to deal with these players now.”
“As Brendan said, the players don’t stop. When you’ve got good players that are willing to work extremely hard, often on the ball, that’s a sign of a real good team, and Celtic are showing that in abundance,” Bartley added.
Rest Before a Massive Month Ahead
Celtic now head into the international break, giving Kuhn and his teaMMAtes a much-needed breather after comPeting in three comPetitions over the past four weeks. While some will feature for their national sides, others will have a chance to recuperate ahead of a busy period.
Rodgers’ men will also face Sligo Rovers in a friendly this Wednesday, where squad rotation is expected. Kuhn may be rested after his recent exploits, with eyes already turning to their next league clash against Aberdeen on October 19th. The match at Celtic Park promises to be an exciting top-of-the-table encounter, with both sides putting their 100% league records on the line.
Kuhn’s form will undoubtedly be a key factor for Celtic as they aim to maintain their domestic dominance.
