The Signature Events are generally the biggest earners on the PGA Tour but the Players Championship stands above the rest. Golfers at the Players Championship are comPeting for a share of a $25 million total prize fund. The winner bags a $4.5 million top prize, also the largest on the tour.

There are a number of PGA Tour tournaments that offer a total purse of $20 million, including The Masters, The Sentry and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM. However, of those tournaments, only The Memorial and the Arnold Palmer Invitational offer a $4 million top prize for the winner.
