The Italian Open closed out with a victory for Alexander Zverev, who beat runner-up Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 7-5.
His first title of the year, the Italian Open was Zverev’s second win in Rome and his sixth time as a winner at the 1000 Masters. “Obviously winning my first ever [Masters] here in Rome and winning my first after my injury also in Rome, so Rome is a very special place for me,” Zverev said. “It is a very, very special week.”
“He is playing huge and you can see by the players he has beaten here this week,” Zverev told the microphones when asked about his opponent, Jarry. “Playing incredible Tennis.
