How many goals has Cristiano Ronaldo scored this season?
Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot on Saturday to lead Al Nassr to victory over Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League, his second goal in consecutive matches in 2024. At 39 years of age, the top scorer in the History of Football is still going strong.
“Another win, another goal. Let’s keep going, Al Nassr,” were the words with which the Portuguese striker expressed his happiness at the end of the match. He has now scored 875 official goals is his career to date.
Ronaldo finished 2023 as the top scorer ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland and he wants more. He has positioned himself as the leading scorer in Saudi Arabia with 21 goals, while former Fulham man Aleksandar Mitrovic is in second place with 17 goals.
Ronaldo has adapted to life in Saudi Arabia and is not only the top scorer this season, but also leads the way as the top assist man with nine assists, tied with Al Taawon’s Alvaro Medran.
With 14 Games remaining, Al Nassr and Ronaldo are closing in on Al Hilal, who play against Al Raed tomorrow. At the time of writing, Neymar’s side are four points clear, but if they can deliver tomorrow, they could be separated by as much as seven points.
