Having a bag of chips on his head, an abandoned dog battles for his life.

A defenseless puppy was about to lose his life when left in the middle of a snowy field with its small head stuck in a bag of potatoes, until a Samaritan saw it and decided to intervene.

Homeless puppies try to find food, but many times they are unaware of the risks they may be taking.

The recording of a man in Manitoba, Canada, shows the furry man sitting on two legs with his head raised as if trying to breathe.

The poor pup had gotten stuck in a potato bag, most likely while trying to eat the leftovers inside, and was running out of air by the time the Samaritan saw him.

In the images, the furry tries to get out of the problem and shakes his head vigorously, hoping that the bag would break or he could remove it, but his pirouettes don’t work.

Although the recording does not show until the moment when the person is closer to the puppy, apparently the animal was in an unstable area and it was difficult for the Samaritan to reach the place.

The subject had spotted him in the distance and began planning the rescue before beginning to record.

He just wanted to help him, but fearing that the puppy would stray further away, he decided to do it cautiously, he didn’t know what his reaction might be.

Realizing that it was a small dog, he decided to start whistling and calling it with sweet words so that the puppy would come to him.

It was difficult for the Samaritan to move through the thickness of the snow. Fortunately, the dog responds and the man himself walks agilely to meet him.

It was undoubtedly a fairly docile puppy, because despite his barking, he understood that there was someone nearby willing to help him.

No one knows how long the pup had been trapped in the packaging, but within minutes the man helped it out.

When he picked up the bag, he was moved by the cuteness of the puppy who seemed to be grateful for having saved him.

As it became known, it was a puppy without a family that roamed the place. Unfortunately, there are many like him in the area and some of them lose their lives due to the heavy snowfall that hits the place.

The descent would have been worse for the pup who didn’t have enough air to breathe inside the bag.

Jasmine Colucci, founder of K-9 Advocates Manitoba, explained that these cases are not isolated in the area.

In fact, packs of semi-feral Rottweilers, Border Collies and Pit Bulls are often seen roaming the area.

Apparently these furry groups together to defend themselves against dangers, but this specific puppy was alone and helpless.

Colucci confessed to being overwhelmed by the number of cases she receives about these homeless Animals.

Specifically, the puppy in the video could not be determined if it belonged to any family, nor did any chip come with it.

For this reason, after being rescued, he was taken to a shelter where they would be in charge of rehabilitating him and giving him up for adoption.
