Gimme’ Shelter: Powder Puff at Providence Animal Control Center

I came in as a stray from Gallup Street – imagine me, a stray?! Maybe it was because I was in heat when I came in – I must admit, it was a lot even for me. Now that I am spayed, the volume has been turned down on all of that and what’s left is just love for people!

I give kisses and I love to be held or cradled – as you can see from my pictures, I can look everywhere BUT the camera! Be prepared to be followed around with me in the room and also prepare to be given kissed and headbutts. Because of all this love I have to share, I could become overstimulated, but I haven’t shown that yet. As you can see, I’m kinda just a sac of potatoes when I’m held, I am too funny! I am only 9 months old!

If you can see me, I am still available! No phone calls please, everything is done online, and we do need an application submitted and approved before scheduling a visit. We differ from other shelters by offering a one on one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! Please email [email protected].

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the Health and safety of our residents and their Pets with progressive leadership and Education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all Animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of Healthy adoptable Animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter Animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring Animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
