Former Celtic academy prospect Ewan Henderson is on the move this summer, just two years after leaving the Hoops permanently.

Brother of Liam, the midfielder was given his senior debut by current Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers back in 2018.

Just under a year later, the Irishman gave the then-18-year-old his maiden start, and Henderson didn’t let him down, being named man-of-the-match in a 4-1 victory over Motherwell. The Game turned out to be Rodgers’ last home match during his first spell as Celtic boss.

Despite showing initial promise, Henderson didn’t nail down a place in the team.

He enjoyed loans at Dunfermline and Hibs before signing for the Easter Road outfit permanently in 2022. Now, after an impressive year with KV Oostende where he scored seven goals in 30 Games, Henderson is set to join Beerschot.

According to Football Scotland, the 22-year-old will sign permanently for the newly promoted Belgian top-flight side, with the Hibees banking at least £150,000 from the transfer.

Following a good few years of switching between clubs, hopefully Beerschot can provide Henderson with a stable home where he can focus on his Football and fulfil the potential he showed at Celtic.
