Winnipeg clawed out a win against the Kings on Monday night to end a six-game losing streak. The Flames are also 1-6 in their last seven games with their lone victory also coming against the Kings. Calgary has already won the first two meetings this season, 5-3 back in October and 6-3 in February.

The Winnipeg Jets are once again stumbling heading into the playoffs. After a 30-10-4 start, the Jets are just 15-14-2 in their last 31 games. They’ve gone from the favorites in the Central Division to a potential first-round exit with the Avalanche as their likely foes.

The Jets may be able to build on Monday night’s win, though, with two days off at home to regroup before the final stretch of the season. However, they’re favored by a bit too much against the Calgary Flames.

Calgary hasn’t been very trustworthy either. The Flames have gone 3-9 since moving both Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin at the trade deadline. Winnipeg did make some additions at — and before — the deadline, and we’ll be targeting one of them with our best bet tonight.

Sean Monahan spent the first nine years of his career in Calgary before being dumped off to the Canadiens two offseasons ago. He resurrected his career in Montreal and has been a solid contributor since joining the Jets.

The Jets currently have Monahan on the second line with sharpshooter Kyle Connor and youngster Cole Perfetti. That line has been clicking recently with Perfetti scoring two goals on Monday night.

Monahan also plays on the top power-play unit, which is where he may do his damage tonight. The Flames have allowed a power-play goal in four straight Games and six of their last seven contests.
