Top class Boxing returns to Saudi Arabia once again this weekend with high profile with the Riyadh Season delivering one of the most requested and anticipated fights by fans into a reality.
The fight between Bivol and Beterbiev was originally scheduled for June 1st, but had to be postponed due to an injury to the Canadian. Bivol will put his WBA crown on the line and 39-year-old Beterbiev will put his WBC, WBO and IBF titles also on the line.
Dmitry Bivol (23-0-0, 12 KO) and Artur Beterbiev (20-0-0, 20 KO) will unify the light heavyweight division in an exciting duel of undefeated fighters at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a fine supporting bill to lead-into the main event.
Bivol’s record
The Tokmok (Russia) born Bivol is the WBA light heavyweight champion and secured the title by defeating Trent Broadhurst by first-round KO in November 2017. During those six years, he has defended the title nine times, including victories over Canelo Alvarez and Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez in 2022.
In his 23 fights, the 33-year-old has delivered 12 knockouts and with Bivol currently undefeated, an enticing fight is in store in Riyadh when he faces the also unbeaten Beterbiev.
