Cynthia Bailey reveals advice she gave ‘RHOA’ castmate Porsha Williams amid divorce
Cynthia Bailey has been guiding her “Real Housewives of Atlanta” castmate Porsha Williams through the latter’s divorce from Simon Guobadia.
“I’ve been divorced twice, so I know a little bit about it,” Bailey exclusively told Page Six at the Gurus Magazine launch party celebrating #30Voices30Days on Saturday.
“I’ve just mostly been giving her positive energy. Just to focus on herself.”
The ladies have quite a bit in common: They both have been married twice, and they each have a daughter.
Bailey, who told us she and Williams are “good” these days, explained, “I’m a lover of love; she’s a lover of love. She moves fast; I move fast. We just jump right in.
“I don’t really know any other way to love, honestly,” the former supermodel added. “But at the end of the day, if it’s not working, I think everyone deserves another chance to find their person.”
Bailey and Sportscaster Mike Hill finalized their divorce in December 2022 after tying the knot in October 2020. Their elaborate wedding was shown on “RHOA” Season 13.
The actress also married businessman Peter Thomas on camera in July 2010. The pair settled their split in March 2017.
She shares a daughter, 24-year-old Noelle Robinson, with actor Leon Robinson.
“I’m single and dating. I’m still looking for my person,” Bailey, 57, told us. “I’d probably get married again. I can’t say never, but it’s not a dealbreaker.”
Meanwhile, Williams was wed to to retired NFL player Kordell Stewart from May 2011 to December 2013.
She then welcomed daughter Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, now 5, with her entrepreneur ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley, as Bravo cameras rolled.
In November 2022, Williams, 42, said “I do” to Guobadia after a controversial whirlwind romance, but she filed to dissolve the marriage this past February. Since then, things have gotten messy between the two.
In court documents previously obtained by Page Six, the reality star explained that shocking reports about the Nigeria native’s alleged immigration fraud and what appeared to be an imminent threat of deportation — among other alarming allegations — took a toll on her mental and emotional well-being.
Guobadia denied such claims in his own court documents, going on to accuse Williams of bringing a “gunman” to their marital home.
Williams blasted Guobadia for peddling a “false narrative” about her “nefarious intentions,” noting that they have both “always had personal security.”
The businessman also sent a cease-and-desist letter to the production company behind “RHOA,” demanding that they stop filming at his house, where his estranged wife previously lived.
However, a source close to the situation previously assured Page Six that nothing has been filmed at Guobadia’s house for the upcoming 16th season of the reality series.
Williams, for her part, slammed her estranged husband for engaging in “superfluous media antics,” which have spilled over onto Instagram.
Both Bailey and Williams are returning to “RHOA” for Season 16, which is currently in production, with the former assuming an official “friend of” position and the latter reclaiming her full-time role.
