On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys made a few moves. They traded the Carolina Panthers for wide receiver Jonathan Mingo in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round draft pick, and released defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and cornerback Andrew Booth Jr.

Phillips' release did not free up a roster spot as he was never activated to the 53-man roster after suffering from an injury in Week 2 and being placed on Injured Reserve. Booth’s release, however, did free up a spot.

Cowboys bring back Booth

Just two days after releasing Booth, however, the Cowboys announced they’d re-signed him to the practice squad on Thursday morning.

The Dallas defense has been dealing with injuries all season, so they need all the help they can get there. Dallas initially acquired Booth in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for cornerback Nahshon Wright.

Booth has played in three Games for the Cowboys this season and recorded six tackles (five solos).
