Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has insisted he wants to 'keep playing as much as I can' for the club despite his uncertain future.

Gallagher is into the final 18 months of his contract, and so per Chelsea's club policy, they will entertain offers for him.

90min revealed earlier this month Gallagher would prefer to stay at Stamford Bridge but wants to be rewarded with a wage that's on par with fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo, who earns around £150,000-a-week.

In an interview with Sky Sports prior to Sunday's Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool, Gallagher revealed his intention to stay at Chelsea.

"Obviously there is another year and a half left of my contract and I absolutely love playing with the manager," he said. "Playing almost every Game has been incredible. Last season I was in and out the team and it wasn't this enjoyable.

"I just want to keep playing as much I can for Chelsea, keep trying to improve and try and be successful."

If Gallagher does not agree terms over a new contract by the summer, Chelsea will look to sell him for a fee between £50m and £60m.

Tottenham Hotspur remain long-term admirers of Gallagher and could look to pounce on this uncertainty quickly once the season ends. Last year, they wrapped up the £45m signing of top target James Maddison from Leicester City soon after their relegation from the Premier League.

Gallagher has played 34 Games for Chelsea across all comPetitions so far this season, registering three goals and six assists. He has also captained them on 15 occasions under head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who fought to keep him both in the summer of 2023 and the January transfer window.
