After Celtic booked their place in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday afternoon thanks to a dramatic penalty shootout win over Aberdeen, full focus returns to league matters.

With five Games to go, the Bhoys sit three points clear at the top of the table. They face Dundee away this weekend before hosting Hearts and Rangers back-to-back.

If Brendan Rodgers’ men can win those next three Games, the title will be all but theirs. Chris Sutton, though, isn’t overly confident in his old team.

The pundit doesn’t think the race for the championship is over despite the Gers dropping five points in their previous two Premiership matches.

He said: [RecordSport] “Unlike Celtic and Rangers fans, I don’t think the title race is over. I don’t trust either side to remain unbeaten from now until the end of the campaign.

“There are still issues in the wide areas at Celtic and they are a team that has played in halves over this year. It was the same against St Mirren last weekend, where it was a bit of a struggle against a team sitting deep until they got the first goal.

“Celtic fans are taking great delight in the apparent collapse at Ibrox but their players have to completely ignore what’s going on over there and take care of their own Business.”

Thankfully for Celtic, their destiny remains within their hands. It has been a season of countless ups and downs but with six Games to go in all comPetitions, the players know what they must do.

Each match between now and the season’s end is a cup final, the first of which takes place in Dundee this Sunday.
