The Cleveland Guardians and the Chicago White Sox meet Saturday in MLB action from Rogers Centre. Here’s a Chicago White Sox vs Cleveland Guardians prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.
Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview
The Guardians played the Detroit Tigers in their early-week series and did fairly well with two wins in three Games. Cleveland took a tough 3-2 loss to the White Sox on Thursday, though. In the Friday Game the Guardians had eight team hits and two errors in a 6-3 defeat. Carlos Carrasco put up 7.0 frames with three earned on six hits in the start.
On Saturday the starting pitcher for Cleveland will be Triston McKenzie. Over his seven starts this year so far McKenzie is 2-2 with a 3.97 ERA and 30 Ks in 34.0 innings. McKenzie is 20-26 with a 3.76 career ERA in 75 Games (71 starts).
Chicago White Sox Betting Preview
Over on the White Sox’ side, they took on the Tampa Bay Rays this week. Chicago took a pair of losses in the first two Games of that set but staved off the sweep with a Wednesday win. On Friday the White Sox scored three runs in the fifth inning on the way to the victory. Garrett Crochet put up 6.0 clean frames on five hits, no walks and 11 Ks.
It’ll be Mike Clevinger in the starting pitcher role for the White Sox on Saturday. This year Clevinger has just one start, taking a loss with three earned in 2.0 innings. Clevinger has a career ERA of 3.47 with a 60-40 record in 153 games (139 starts).

Chicago White Sox vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction
I’ll probably take a stab on the White Sox. I could go either way here, though. Clevinger needs a bounce-back start, but he’s certainly a better pitcher than he showed on May 6 versus Tampa Bay (2.0 innings; three earned on six hits and four walks). As for McKenzie, he should do pretty well here also. McKenzie has given up a combined five earned runs in 16.0 innings over his last three starts.
In the Friday matchup the White Sox got two hits from Paul DeJong (two runs; homer), Korey Lee (two runs; homer) and Andrew Benintendi. The pen had some late struggles, though. If all goes well on Saturday Chicago should have a good shot, all things considered.
