With Devin Booker finally back from an ankle injury, the Phoenix Suns are aiming to win a 3rd consecutive game as they host the Boston Celtics, who have dropped 2 games in a row for only the 2nd time this season. Tip-off is at 8:30 pm ET on ABC and I’ve prepared a Celtics vs Suns Same Game Parlay to add a little more sizzle to this explosive matchup. You can also find out our NBA picks for today’s other games, but for now, let’s dive into my SGP.

Suns +5.5 (-110)

Kristaps Porzingis over 2.5 made threes (+114)

Jusuf Nurkic to record 10+ rebounds (-260)

Same Game Parlay odds: +412

Phoenix Suns +5.5 over Boston Celtics (-110)

Timing is everything in the NBA these days and the Suns are catching the Boston Celtics at just the right time. The C’s have lost consecutive games for only the 2nd time this season and they’re in real danger of dropping a 3rd straight tonight against a Phoenix team that’s put together a mini 2-game win streak of their own. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are both on the injury report and I wouldn’t be surprised if one or even both of them sat this one out, as risking injuries at this point of the season just doesn’t make sense.

Meanwhile, the Suns get Devin Booker back as he recovers from an ankle sprain that cost him the last 3 games. In his last 10 games against Boston, he’s putting up 30.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, so the Suns are going to be significantly better with him in the lineup. Phoenix will also be encouraged by their 6-1 run in the last 7 games against Eastern Conference opponents. In head-to-head meetings, they’ve covered the spread 7 times in the last 15 games. Maybe I’m naïve, but I really think they have a shot against a wounded Celtics team here, so let’s back the Suns to cover as home underdogs.

Kristaps Porzingis over 2.5 made threes (+114)

Kristaps Porzingis is the best 3rd option in the NBA at the moment and I don’t think anyone can dispute that. If either one of Brown or Tatum chooses to sit this one out, then his responsibilities on offense automatically increase. KP has been knocking it down from three-point land and over his last 8 Games he’s at 44.7% efficiency, which ranks slightly above Aaron Nesmith, who is the 5th-most efficient three-point shooter in the NBA this season.

Porzingis is also on a run of 3 straight Games with at least 3 threes and he’s cleared this line 5 times in his last 7 appearances. The combination of size and skill he possesses is tough to guard for any team and the Suns will be no exception here. Against Phoenix, Porzingis is at 22.2 points per Game in the last 6 meetings and he has at least 2 threes scored in all 6 of those Games. With the Suns ranking just 15th in opponent three-point percentage, I think he will be able to reach 3 threes here without any issues.

Jusuf Nurkic to record 10+ rebounds (-260)

The big fella from Bosnia & Herzegovina has been cleaning the glass at a high rate lately. In his last 9 Games, Nurkic is averaging 14.3 rebounds per Game and he’s doing it in just 26.3 minutes per Game, which makes it even more impressive. Just 3 Games ago he exploded for 31 rebounds in a loss to Oklahoma City and in his last 8 Games he’s failed to crack double-digit boards just once. He has the strength advantage over Porzingis here, and aside from the aging Al Horford, I don’t think the Celtics are properly equipped to handle a player like Nurkic on the inside. Nurk is averaging 9.8 rebounds per Game in his last 9 outings against Boston. With tonight’s Game expected to be a high-paced one, I think there will be plenty of rebounding opportunities for him to land our bet.
