BYU vs SMU Player Props Today – 9/6/24 CFB DraftKings Pick6

Week 2 of the CFB season kicks off on Friday, with the BYU Cougars and SMU Mustangs facing off. There is value all across the board with the CFB Player Props Draftkings Pick6. Let’s take a look at some BYU vs SMU Player Props. 

Before we look at who should be in your Pick6 lineup, let’s go over a reminder about how the contest works. 

The goal for participants is to make more correct picks than the other participants in each contest. Winning entries receive a share of the available prizes. In Pick6, participants can build lineups of between 2 and 6 players and comPete against participants with the same lineup size. The more picks you include in a lineup, the higher a payout could be.

Preston Stone Over 226.5 Passing Yards

SMU is a pass first team, and Preston Stone is going to have a huge Game here. In the last Game against the Nevada Wolfpack, Preston Stone completed 17 of his 30 passes for 254 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. BYU’s defense was better in the last Game, but that was against Southern Illinois, and I don’t expect BYU’s defense to be this good overall. Stone is going to have a solid Game. 

Jake Retzlaff Under 19.5 Rushing Yards

Jake Retzlaff is a bit of a mobile quarterback, but SMU is going to be prepared for it, and they aren’t going to let him break out the big one by SMU. Retzlaff finished with eight carries for 16 yards in the first Game against Southern Illinois, and they aren’t going to go over that number here. He will have even less rushing attempts here, and the under 19.5 rushing yards is going to cash. 

Keyshawn Smith Over 25.5 Receiving Yards

RJ Maryland had a huge Game in the first Game for SMU, but BYU is going to try to slow him down, and other wide receivers are going to step up. In the first Game, Keyshawn Smith finished with one catch for 20 yards. Smith is going to finish with a couple of more catches here, and the over 25.5 receiving yards is going to cash. 

Bonus Player Prop Bets

1st SMU Drive – Touchdowns +125

This isn’t as much of a player prop, but it’s still not one I am passing up. Like stated above, this BYU defense isn’t as good as years past, and they are going to really struggle to slow down SMU moving the ball. SMU is going to move the ball down with ease the first drive, and it will end in a touchdown. 

LJ Martin 50+ Rushing Yards +150

BYU running back LJ Martin is the main back for the team, and he’s going to have another solid Game. The top rusher in the last Game for Nevada against the SMU defense had 77 yards. LJ Martin is going to have a huge Game here, and he will finish with at least 50+ rushing yards here. In the first Game he finished with 67 yards and a touchdown.
