Warwick Mayor cuts ribbon for newly renovated office space on Jefferson Boulevard

Diversified Resources, LLC, a comprehensive financial planning firm located at 70 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, celebrated its 40th anniversary milestone in style at the company’s newly renovated headquarters.

Over 125 family members, clients, friends, and staff past and present attended an invitation-only “garden party” themed event to commemorate the occasion. Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi presented a citation from the City of Warwick and participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony along with President Karen Bacon and company Founder and Chairman Emeritus George Wright. Christine West, principal and co-owner of KITE Architects (Providence), and Vice President Glenn Ahlborg and Project Manager Olivia Ahlborg of Ahlborg Construction Corporation (Warwick) also participated in the ribbon cutting, as their firms worked on the architectural planning and construction management, respectively, for the build-out of the entire 4th floor which was recently completed.

Karen Bacon purchased Diversified Resources, LLC from her father, George Wright, in late 2014. Under her leadership, the firm grew from $125 million in assets under management to $284 million currently. She oversaw the modernization of systems and operations, registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the addition of seven staff members. She was instrumental in not only securing the new office location but in leading the renovation team to carry out her vision for the space from floor to ceiling. “It’s truly an honor to celebrate our past and present at this event,” comments Bacon. “The garden theme reflects all of the cultivation that got us to where we are now, forty years later, and the continued growth that is to come.”

Before a special champagne toast, Bacon presented her father with a Founder’s Award in recognition of “his vision, dedication, hard work, for all you taught me, and for laying the best foundation for Diversified Resources to be the strong and growing Business it is today,” she stated.

Guests enjoyed live music performed by a harpist, an ivy wall selfie backdrop, and mingling in the beautifully appointed office space filled with fresh flowers and garden greenery. Stationary and passed hors d’oeuvres were provided by Cozy Caterers of Warwick, and bar service by Two Gals Cocktails of Warren. Event design and management was handled by Newberry Public Relations and Marketing, Inc. of Pawtucket.
