Best NBA Player Props Today - April 6

Prop bet #1: Dish master Maxey

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey is dishing out 6.3 assists per game but that number ticks up to 6.8 apg with Joel Embiid in the lineup. Embiid returned to the 76ers lineup this week after a two-month absence and playing alongside Maxey on Thursday night, he dropped 29 points on 25 field goal attempts. 

Maxey dished out a whopping 11 assists in that contest with a total of 15 potential assists. The point guard has now racked up 8+ assists in his last three Games and today he faces a Memphis Grizzlies side that has been decimated by injuries. 

The Grizzlies were one of the top defensive teams in the NBA last year but this season they've dropped to around the league average. With defensive stopper Marcus Smart and several other key starters on the IL, Memphis has been vulnerable on their own end of the floor.

Since the All-Star break the Grizzlies are 18th in the league in points per game allowed (111.7) while ranking 25th in assists allowed per game (27.9). Expect another strong offensive performance from Maxey tonight and take the Over 6.5 on his assists.

Prop bet #2: Test of a Duren

The Detroit Pistons are the worst team in the NBA but one area where they haven't been terrible has been on the glass. That's largely due to center Jalen Duren, who is fifth in the NBA with 11.6 rebounds per game despite logging a modest 29.1 minutes. 

Today Duren and Pistons face off against a Brooklyn Nets squad that is below average on the glass and ranks 23rd in the league in opponent rebounds per game (52.4). Duren grabbed 14 boards against the Nets when these teams previously faced off last month, and he pulled down 15 rebounds against them back in December.

Back the Pistons' big man on his rebounds prop today.

Prop bet #3: Murray worries

With Trae Young on the shelf, Dejounte Murray has become the No. 1 option for the Atlanta Hawks. However, the guard has struggled over the last week and has been held to 20 points or fewer in three of his last four games. In his last contest, he was limited to 16 points on 6 of 17 shooting, and he faces a stingy Denver Nuggets defense on the road tonight. 

The Nuggets play at one of the slowest paces in the NBA and rank ninth in defensive efficiency. That has resulted in them allowing just 108.7 ppg at home — the fifth-lowest number in the league. Murray is averaging a whopping 9.9 attempted 3s per Game since the start of March but Denver is seventh in the league in opponent 3-point percentage (35.5%) while ranking second at allowing low quality 3s per ShotQualityBets.

The O/U on Murray's points total for tonight is set at 22.5 but most models are projecting between 19.9 and 20.4 points for the Hawks guard.
