The Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles meet Tuesday in MLB action from Oriole Park. Here’s a Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.
Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview
The Blue Jays took on the Texas Rangers over the weekend. Toronto was able to win all three of those Games for a sweep. In the doubleheader opener versus the Orioles, the Jays took a loss 11-5. As for Game two, Toronto evened it up with an 8-4 victory.
In the starter role for Tuesday the Blue Jays will send out Chris Bassitt. This year Bassitt is 8-9 with a 3.78 ERA in 21 starts. Bassitt is 70-51 with a 3.52 career ERA in 190 games (177 starts).
Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview
Over on the Orioles’ side, they played the San Diego Padres in their weekend set. Baltimore lost the first pair of games before a Sunday win 8-6. In game one Monday the O’s jumped out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back. As for game two Baltimore was out-hit 13-9 in the loss.
As starter for Tuesday the Orioles are going with Corbin Burnes. So far Burnes is 10-4 with a 2.45 ERA over 21 starts. Burnes is 55-31 with a 3.13 ERA in 188 career Games (127 starts).
Orioles vs Blue Jays Pick Injury Notes
Blue Jays CF Kevin Kiermaier (hip) was out of the lineup Monday. SP Alek Manoah (elbow) recently had his brace removed.
Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction
I might try the Orioles here but the line is a little too thick to mess with. Much of that is due to Bassitt’s recent struggles. Over his last three starts Bassitt is 1-2 with 11 earned runs over 16.2 innings of work on 17 hits and six walks combined. Baltimore should have some opportunities while he’s out there.
In the doubleheader Monday the O’s posted a strong offensive effort with 13 hits in Game one. In the nightcap Baltimore had a decent offensive day but there were some struggles on the mound. I like the Orioles to get another W in Game three but I’m probably staying away.
