Actor Atharva Karve Urges Indians to Explore the Richness of their home country instead of abroad

In a recent interview, renowned actor Atharva Karve shared his thoughts on the importance of exploring the beauty and diversity of India before venturing abroad. Drawing from his own experience of visiting Rajasthan, Karve emphasized the incredible treasures that lie within our own nation.

Karve expressed his awe and admiration for the rich History, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes that Rajasthan has to offer. From the majestic forts and palaces of Jaipur to the golden sand dunes of Jaisalmer, he found himself immersed in a world that felt like a journey through time. He says

“I have visited some 7-8 countries before. And I used to think that we should go and see different countries , their culture because ‘ Indian to hum hai hi..’ So desh se bahar chalte hain, but my perspective has changed after my recent trip to Rajasthan”

With his newfound perspective, Karve passionately advocates for exploring our own country. He averred

“But now i strongly feel, we must go n see our Country first. I visited Kashmir, Karnataka , Kerala and Rajasthan recently. Difference in the History , different culture, different traditions but still we are ONE. And trust me , it was nothing less than visiting any foreign country. Our nation has so much that we must explore. When I say this I mean 2 things, first we should explore our History , culture traditions and secondly we should spend our money in our nation only. We should promote our tourism and help the nation to grow faster. Because many places in India are dependent on tourism”

He believes that by doing so, we not only get to witness the incredible beauty and richness of India but also contribute to the growth of local communities. Tourism plays a vital role in uplifting the economy of various regions, and by supporting local Businesses and attractions, we can make a significant impact.

Karve encourages fellow Indians to pack their bags and embark on a journey of discovery within our incredible nation.
