A stunning kick from the wildebeest distracted the hunter just in time for its meal to make its elaborate getaway at Masai Mara, Kenya

In the midst of a hectic great migration, a wildebeest makes a great escape from the jaws of a hungry crocodile.

The stunning getaway caught on camera shows the terrified animal just centimetres away from the reptile’s deadly teeth.

Unfortunately for many, they were careering straight into the path of a waiting croc.

The river monster wasted no time springing into action, trying to capture the prey between its powerful jaws.

However, the predator got a little more than it bargained for.
