A woman from South Africa, Gosiame Thamara Sithole, has recently given birth to 10 babies, which, if verified, could set a new Guinness World Record for the most children born in a single delivery. Sithole, 37, delivered seven boys and three girls at a hospital in Pretoria.

Sithole’s husband expressed their surprise and joy upon learning the news of the 10 babies. They had initially anticipated eight children during the pregnancy and had not expected such a large family. Sithole had previously given birth to twins and was excited about expanding their family further.

The couple has faced skepticism and doubts regarding the multiple births, with some people questioning the authenticity of the news. However, Sithole and her husband have provided medical records and ultrasound scans as evidence, which have been confirmed by the hospital.

If officially recognized, these births would surpass the current Guinness World Record held by Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to octuplets in 2009. The Guinness World Records organization is currently reviewing the evidence before confirming the new record.

While multiple births such as twins and triplets are not uncommon, the delivery of 10 babies is extremely rare. Typically, such a large multiple birth is a result of fertility treatments, but Sithole and her husband claim that they conceived naturally.
