The National League and American League meet in the 94th Major League Baseball All-Star Game Tuesday in Arlington, Texas. First pitch from Globe Life Field is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the National League vs. American League odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

All-time series: American League leads 47-44-2

The National League picked up a 3-2 victory at T-Mobile Park in Seattle last season, with Colorado’s Elias Diaz earning MVP honors. The Under cashed for the 4th straight season in the mid-summer classic. The win by the NL snapped a 9-game losing streak to the AL in the All-Star Game.

The last time the NL won consecutive All-Star Games was from 2010-12 when it won 3 in a row. The AL is 21-4-1 in the past 26 meetings since 1997.

The All-Star Game returns to Arlington for the first time July 11, 1995 when the NL won 3-2 at The Ballpark in Arlington. Florida Marlins OF Jeff Conine secured MVP honors, while Philadelphia’s Heathcliff Slocumb picked up the win in relief.

MLB All-Star Game picks and predictions

Prediction

AL 4, NL 2

Moneyline

The AMERICAN LEAGUE (-118) has dominated the mid-summer classic, and this lineup is stacked. Toronto 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is batting 7th for the AL, which means the team is absolutely loaded.

The National League is pretty loaded, too, though, as 2024 Home Run Derby champion OF Teoscar Hernandez of the Los Angeles Dodgers is batting 8th. However, pitching generally reigns supreme in these things.

We’ll give the nod to the AL and Burnes, who is making his 4th All-Star appearance. Skenes has been a tremendous pitcher, but the lights might be a bit too bright Tuesday for the rookie out of LSU.

Run line/Against the spread

The AL +1.5 (-205) will cost 2.05 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not enough reward.

Over/Under

UNDER 7.5 (-118) is worth a look. Pitching has dominated in recent seasons, with the total going Under in each of the past 4 All-Star Games.

The past 4 events have had 24 combined runs, or 6.0 runs per Game. In the previous 7 installments, we have had 7 or fewer runs in 6 of those Games.
