When the dog was saved after spending several days in agony on the streets, he was unable to contain his cries.

The neglect of many people has caused an injured dog to look like it is about to die, but fortunately, a kind soul has come to the rescue.

His name is Itzu, a fluffy dog, by the fourth month of his life he already knows very well how hard the heart of some people can be. Apparently the cannon had been run over and left on the side of the road with no one interested in helping.

Under the sun and the cold of the night, Itzu just wanted to stop suffering, but when he was about to throw in the towel, someone picked him up from the grass where he was lying and in their arms led him to a veterinary center where he I would help him.

It was evident that the little one needed to be taken care of, since he could not walk by his own means, instead he dragged himself on his hind legs.

The poor puppy, in addition to being malnourished and dehydrated, had a severe injury to his spine that led him to undergo surgery the same day he was rescued.

As the spine was completely broken, a metal structure had to be used that was integrated along his back to reduce his pain as much as possible and help correct the injury.

The puppy not only needs to be fed, but round-the-clock surveillance to prevent it from getting hurt. On top of that, Itzu receives massages on her paws and muscles to help strengthen them so they don’t atrophy from lack of movement.

As long as the puppy wants to live, its caregivers gladly give it the therapies and are in charge of fighting alongside it to provide it with a better quality of life.

The most satisfying thing about this case is that despite the pain he suffered and the problems that Itzu has to walk, he is a puppy with a great personality.

“Itzu is very active and vibrant. When he does it he will run everywhere. He is a very friendly puppy and he is happy with his new life, despite all the difficulties he has to face”, says one of his caregivers.

After the operation this friend entered another phase of his recovery. Itzu was admitted to a rehabilitation center where they took care of giving him the necessary care to get back on his feet.

Itzu also underwent laser therapy and swimming pool training to help him strengthen his limbs.

After thirty-eight days of rehabilitation, the dog began to take small steps on the treadmill; Since his legs were not yet completely Healthy, it was necessary to use a belt to keep him standing. However, the joy of seeing him walk overflowed in his caregivers.

After spending sixty-six days in rehab since his last surgery, the pup is doing much better. The damage to his spine is uncorrectable but his limbs are stronger and there is no more pain.

In the future, its caregivers hope to get a wheelchair so the pup can live a more normal life without limitations, while that happens, they continue to provide support. it’s like the first moment.

There is no doubt that the recklessness of some people can forever affect so many innocent lives and this story is a true example of this, yet good people still fight to compensate for too much damage.
