– How do you manage six children, because four of them are still very young?

– Now we have already learned everything. My husband helps me with everything, so we do without nannies. The social worker assigned to our family also provides assistance. The assistant can go shopping at a store or pharmacy, pick up a prescription at a clinic, or take the necessary documents to social security. The children have two grandmothers, but they cannot be with them around the clock; one lives in a neighboring region, the other works.

– You became a mother of many 10-15 years earlier than other women who also raise 5-6 children. In what words can you describe your motherhood?

– For me, motherhood is a great happiness. On the other hand, raising so many children is very difficult. There is constant noise in the house. Children scream, squeal, and giggle all day long. And only at night there is silence.

– What gives you strength for a new day?

– The usual parental joys inspire and fill us – that the children are healthy, that every day they have new achievements. Boys, for example, have their first teeth, their first steps. Now they can play with each other on their own and even help me put away the toys after that. Our sons are growing up, and this fills us with strength.

– What are the most difficult moments in your family?

“It’s always hard when children get sick.” Sometimes you can’t find a place for yourself when one child is unwell, and if four get sick at once, it’s much more difficult. Sometimes we cry with them from powerlessness.

– You, of course, already have experience in parenting many children. What helpful advice can you give to other young couples? How to organize your day so that it is convenient for parents and comfortable for children?

– Keeping a daily routine saves us. Without him, the family would be in complete chaos. With my younger sons, we wake up at 7-8 o’clock in the morning, wash our butts, have breakfast, and play. Then we have a scheduled second breakfast and sleep, after which we eat soup and play again until lunch. After lunch, the children go for an afternoon nap, after which we have an afternoon snack and go for a walk outside. Upon returning home, we have dinner and go to bed by 21.00. And so every day. Of course, sometimes it’s very difficult, there are days when there’s simply not enough strength for anything, but my husband helps with everything, together we manage, although sometimes little by little, we manage.

– How does Alexey feel as a “quad dad”?

– In less than 1.5 years in this status, he continues to be glad that we have such an unusual and large family. After two older daughters, he, like any man, wanted a son. When I became pregnant, the doctor at the first ultrasound said that I would have twins. While I was coming to my senses, the doctor saw the third baby. At home, Alexey exclaimed: “Wonderful! There must be at least one son!” But it was he, looking at the ultrasound picture at home, who noticed that there were not three babies, but four. This was confirmed by repeated research: there are four children and all are boys. From that day until now, our dad is happy that he has so many sons!

– How do Christina and Yulia feel about their brothers?

– The girls quickly got used to their younger brothers; for some time they perceived them as living baby dolls. Now the daughters are happy to babysit the boys; they always look after them and play together.
