“They will make sure” – Celtic Legend Delivers Title Verdict
Particularly after recent results, the Scottish Premiership title race is the talk of the town, and Celtic legend Scott Brown has now weighed in on the debate.
On the West Coast with Championship outfit Ayr United, the 38-year-old has done a respectable job so far, and it seems like he will ensure the Honest Men avoid relegation.
Brown recently spoke about the help Celtic and Brendan Rodgers have given him since he’s been at Ayr, but he also touched on his ex-team’s title hopes in a recent BBC interview.
Indeed, the club legend has no qualms that Rodgers and Co. will help bring silverware back to Parkhead in May.
He said: [BBC Scottish Football Podcast] “I think, if anyone knows Brendan, he knows what he’s talking about. He’s got an understanding of what he wants for the club.
“Yeah, I believe that he’ll do it.
“They will make sure they win that league, that’s for sure. I’m sure Brendan will be looking forward to picking that trophy up and going again this season.”
Although the Hoops are three points clear at the top of the table with five Games to play, they cannot afford any sense of complacency.
The Bhoys must strictly focus on themselves and win their Games to secure a third league title in a row.
It is easier said than done, but in the words of Rodgers, the club comes alive at this stage of the campaign
