The Black Dog pub owner alludes Joe Alwyn is a ‘regular’ after Taylor Swift song release
The Black Dog owner hinted that Joe Alwyn is a “regular” after Taylor Swift released a song about an ex frequenting the London pub.
“I don’t want to give too much away,” Lily Bottomley told Sky News Monday. “We do have a certain blond regular who frequents, let’s just say that.”
Bottomley also spoke on the increase in foot traffic her pub has received ever since the “Lover” songstress listed “The Black Dog” as the 17th track on her newly released “The Tortured Poets Department” album.
“We’re just loving it, it’s been so fun. All of the attention has been pretty overwhelming but we can’t be happier,” she told BBC.
Bottomley added that Swift, 34, previously stopped in for a drink at her eatery, though it’s unclear if it was with Alwyn, 33.

The pub is making the most out of the phenomenon by now offering Swift-themed cocktails and food options.
“We’ve had [the album] on non-stop on the pub. We’ve had singalongs from fans. It’s been amazing,” Bottomley continued.
In her breakup track, the 14-time Grammy winner sings about her unnamed ex who goes into the bar and forgets to turn his phone location off.
“You forgot to turn it off / And so I watch as you walk into some bar called The Black Dog / And pierce new holes in my heart,” she sings.
Swift continues, “How you don’t miss me in The Black Dog / When someone plays The Starting Line and you jump up / But she’s too young to know this song.”
Alwyn and the “Bad Blood” hitmaker’s romance kicked off in 2017 but came to a screeching halt in April 2023.
Aside from seemingly referring to the actor in “The Black Dog,” Swift also shaded her ex on the 31-track album in her song “So Long, London,” which is where she lived with him for six years.
She also presumably hinted at their relationship in “Loml” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
The “Love Story” singer also appeared to have taken a jab at her ex Matty Healy, 35, whom she briefly dated from May to June 2023.
She seemingly described the 1975 frontman as a man she could “fix” and someone who “needed drugs” more than he needed her as she sang “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” and “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”
Of course, several Swifties also believe the pop icon referenced her romance with Travis Kelce, 34, on the album as she also belted about touchdowns and winning streaks in “The Alchemy.”
