The Kentucky Wildcats and the Tennessee Volunteers meet in week 10 college Football action from Neyland Stadium on Saturday. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this Game. Here’s a Tennessee vs Kentucky Prediction.

Kentucky Recap

The Kentucky Wildcats come into this one looking to snap a three-Game losing streak after a 24-10 loss at the hands of Auburn last time out to drop to 3-5 on the year. After this Game, Kentucky will have a bye week before taking on FCS Murray State.

Wildcats Looking To Bounce Back

Brock Vandagriff has thrown for 1,236 yards, 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 57.1% passing while Demie Sumo-Karngbaye has 419 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns as well. Jamarion Wilcox also has 249 rushing yards as well on the year. Dane Key leads Kentucky’s receiving group with 39 receptions for 587 yards while Barion Brown has 278 receiving yards and 3 TD grabs for Kentucky. On defense, Jordan Lovett has a team-high 44 total tackles. J.J. Weaver also has 5 sacks as part of Kentucky’s 20 sacks this season while the Wildcat defense has 7 interceptions as well on the year.

Why the Kentucky Wildcats will win

  • The underdog has won each of Kentucky’s last four games.
  • The underdog has covered the spread in eight of Kentucky’s last nine completed games.

Tennessee Recap

The Tennessee Volunteers come into this one looking to build on back-to-back wins after a 24-17 win over Alabama last time out to improve to 6-1 on the year. After this Game, Tennessee will welcome Mississippi State to town.

Volunteers Looking To Keep Ball Rolling

Nico Iamaleava has thrown for 1,413 yards, 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 63.5% passing while Dylan Sampson leads the Vols on the ground with 838 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns and DeSean Bishop has 366 yards and 3 scores on the ground as well. Dont’e Thornton Jr. has a team-high 365 receiving yards while Bru McCoy, Chris Brazzell II and Squirrel White each have 200+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Will Brooks leads the Vols with 37 total tackles while James Pearce Jr. has a team-high 3.5 sacks on the year. As a unit, Tennessee’s defense has combined for 15 sacks and 5 interceptions as well on the year.

Why the Tennessee Volunteers will win

  • Tennessee has won each of its last 17 games against non-AP-ranked teams at Neyland Stadium.
  • Kentucky has lost seven of its last eight games against conference opponents.
  • Tennessee has covered the spread in six of its last seven November games against Kentucky.
  • Kentucky has failed to cover the spread in each of its last three games.

Tennessee vs Kentucky Prediction

I’m on the Vols here. There’s a distinct possibility that the Wildcats could be the worst team in the SEC as the offense is non-existent and Brock Vandagriff’s been showing why he never was the guy at Georgia when he was there. The Vols’ offense has taken a nosedive since conference play started, but while SEC underdogs in conference play have been money, I think this is one Game where the favorite gets it done. Give me Tennessee.
