Spurs official Fabio Paratici handed lengthy ban as part of Juventus investigation
Tottenham managing director of Football Fabio Paratici has been handed a two and a half year ban following an investigation into capital gains and finances at former club Juventus.
The Serie A giants have been hit with a 15-point deduction to be applied this season following accusations of financial irregularities and manipulation in recent years.
Paratici worked at the club for 11 years until he left to take his current job at Spurs in 2021.
The executive was among a raft of officials to be sanctioned, although his ban of 30 months is the most severe. Former Juve president Andrea Agnelli is banned for two years, while ex-Juve player and former vice-president Pavel Nedved got an eight-month suspension.
As things stand, it is not thought that Paratici’s ban, which runs until midway through 2025, automatically applies outside of Italy. However, if the Italian Football federation (FIGC) request UEFA and FIFA to uphold it, then it could well be extended internationally.
All those banned have the right to an appeal, which could make for a lengthy process.
Paratici’s impact at Tottenham was felt on the pitch last season as a result of his recruitment of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from his old club, as well as Cristiano Romero, who had been on the books at Juventus but made his name with Atalanta.

AK Whether Manchester United should continue trusting Erik ten Hag depends on his performance and alignment with the club’s objectives. If he proves effective and fits the team’s vision, trust may be warranted.
