Post Malone is feeling even better now that his song with Taylor Swift has officially dropped.

The singer-rapper, featured on Swift’s track “Fortnight” from her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, released Friday, shared some sweet words on their collaboration and friendship.

“It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world,” Malone wrote. “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey I love you so much. Thank you Tay.”

The “Sunflower” singer also plays Swift’s ex-lover in the song’s music video, which sees her appear trapped, and him trying to save her at one point. The “Cruel Summer” singer also has matching face tattoos as Malone in one scene.

Swift previously praised Malone for his help on the album’s lead single, writing on social media, “For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it. @postmalone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration.”

Dead Poets Society stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles also made surprise appearances in the “Fortnight” music video, playing scientists, doing experiments on Swift.

On Instagram, Hawke showed his appreciation for the “All Too Well” singer and getting the opportunity to be included in the project, writing, “‘Todd’ & ‘Knox’ from DEAD POETS SOCIETY are now PhDs in THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. It’s quite an honor.”

As for Charles, he admitted that this surprise was “hard” because he doesn’t “like keeping secrets” and “didn’t even tell my kids until the other day.”

He added in his social post, referencing a selfie he shared with Hawke, “Here’s a couple of tortured old poets about to board an early flight to be pop stars for a day. Been through a lot with this dude over the years, but safe to say this was a most memorable day. We were treated with such class by Taylor and her crew from beginning to end. What I’ll remember most was the laughter. There was a lot of it. Like we were 17 all over again.”

And it sounded like the feelings were mutual for Swift, as she previously wrote that she was “still laughing from getting to work with the coolest guys on earth, @ethanhawke and @mrjoshcharles (tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets).”

On Friday, the singer released The Tortured Poets Department, a 16-track album, as well as a surprise “double album” expansion, titled The Anthology, with 15 additional songs.

Following its release, the album broke multiple records on Spotify, becoming the audio giant’s most-streamed album in a single day. Swift also became the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history.
