As Celtic enter the final six games of the season, the title race is heating up.

It all starts at the weekend for Celtic, who will be playing before their title rivals Rangers, giving them the chance to put the pressure on them with a win.

Celtic legend Neil Lennon, familiar with the pressures of title races from his tenure as both a player and manager, shared his insights on the current season.

Speaking to PLZ Soccer, Lennon noted the advantage of having the next derby at Celtic Park, giving Celtic has a slight edge. However, he also acknowledged the challenging away Games that lie ahead, particularly against Kilmarnock, where Celtic have lost twice this season, which could prove to be a stumbling block.

Lennon expressed cautious optimism about Celtic’s chances, stating, “I’m going to say Celtic because the big Game, when it comes around again, is at Celtic Park.

“You need to look at the split as well; I think Celtic may have to go to Kilmarnock, which will be very, very tricky.

“They’ve got three home Games and two away; one will be Kilmarnock and possibly St Mirren; if you’re going to win the league, you need to win all the Games. Are this team capable of doing it? I don’t know.

“Are Rangers capable of doing it and winning all the Games? I don’t know. For me, Celtic have got a leg-up, but I’m not saying they’re clear favourites to win it now.”

It’s going to be a massive push from Celtic, but after the result on Sunday, their league title hopes remain in their hands.
