After winning the 300th regular season head-to-head meeting vs the Celtics on Thursday, the Lakers will try to bring down another all-time rival as they take on the New York Knicks tonight. The game is set to tip-off at 8.30 pm ET on ABC, I’ve done a Same Game Parlay to spice things up a little. Continue reading below to check it out.

Let’s dive into my SGP bet now!

LA Lakers ML (+162)

LeBron James 2+ Made Threes (-142)

Donte DiVincenzo to Score 20+ Points (-140)

Same Game Parlay odds: +574

LA Lakers ML (+162)

With this game being played on ABC and in Madison Square Garden the stage cannot be any bigger, so I expect LA’s big guns to show up here. Especially against a formidable Knicks team, something we haven’t seen in a while. LeBron James comes back into the line-up after 3 days or rest, he’s averaging almost 27 points, 9 rebounds and 8.4 assists vs the Knicks in the last 5 meetings. New York is now on a 9-game win streak, but they’re currently dealing with a ton of injuries and they barely beat the Pacers in their last game 109-105.

Julius Randle is out with a shoulder injury, OG Anunoby is questionable with an elbow issue and Quentin Grimes has a knee problem. Tom Thibodeau was forced to play Precious Achiuwa 43 minutes vs Indiana, that kind of playing time isn’t sustainable in the long run. Without the physicality of Randle dealing with AD down low will be an issue, he finished with 32 points and 14 rebounds in the most recent meeting between the two teams. A fresh pair of legs will be beneficial for AD here, if he can assert his dominance against a Knicks team lacking a true big man an upset could be on the cards.

LeBron James 2+ Made Threes (-142)

Missing the Game against Boston raised a few eyebrows, but LeBron will welcome the extra rest as he heads into MSG for what could be one of his final appearances in that building. He is currently on a streak of 7 straight Games of at least 2 threes made. His percentages have dropped a bit compared to December, but towards the end of January he has really stepped it up. Combine that with the fast paced Lakers style of play on the road this season, this could be yet another one of those high scoring output Games. The Knicks do excel on defense, but perimeter defense is not a strong suit of theirs. They allow opponents to connect on 36% of three point attempts this season, ranking only 11th in the NBA. We just saw the Pacers go for 39.4% in Thursday’s Game against them. James has cleared this line in 7 of the last 10 head-to-head, including the last 5 Games in a row. He’s also had 3 straight triple-doubles in Games against New York, so let’s hope he can stay productive here and lead LA to an upset victory.

Saturday’s NBA Mega Parlay has +916 odds

Donte DiVincenzo to Score 20+ Points (-140)

Playing a team like the Lakers is exactly what the doctor ordered for DiVincenzo. LA ranks only 21st (tied with the Washington Wizards) in opponent three-point efficiency this season with teams shooting 37.4% against them. On the road that number goes up to 38.2%, a hot shooter like DiVincenzo will know how to take advantage. With the injuries piling up, he has elevated himself to being the 2nd scoring option behind Jalen Brunson on this team. In his last 3 Games vs Indiana, Utah and Charlotte he’s scored 20, 33 and 28 points, making at least 4 threes in each of those Games. Brunson has delivered some really memorable performances this season, but relying on a 6-foot-2 player to carry the offense has it’s downsides. If the Lakers are able to shut Brunson down, DiVincenzo will have to step up here.
