Meta launches new parental controls for Facebook, Instagram
Meta has launched improved parental control options for Instagram and Facebook.
With the help of the new tools, parents will be able to see the amount of time their child is spending on Messenger, their contact list, and the privacy settings with the help of Meta Family Center. Along with that, parents will also get to know if their child reports anyone on the platform.
With the new suite of parental control, parents will be able to get more insight into how well their child really knows the people they are following on Instagram and who follows their child.
Apart from that, parents will also be able to keep track of how many friends their child has in common with whoever they are following and whoever follows them. This will help in understanding if the person is a stranger or not.
Meta is still working on more parental control options for both the platforms amidst the growing concerns of safety for children using their apps.
