Kylian Mbappé's camp provide update on PSG forward’s future amid Real Madrid links

Kylian Mbappé has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and his entourage have come out to give their version of the player’s situation. On Sunday, Foot Mercato reported that Madrid had reached an agreement with the Paris Saint-Germain forward, however, Mbappé's camp now deny that a pre-contract agreement is in place with the Spanish giants.

Foot Mercato claim that the France captain had reached a pre-contract agreement to move to the Santiago Bernabéu, although RMC Sport report on Monday that if there is an agreement in place, PSG are not aware of it.

Mbappé's entourage, in contact with RMC Sport, have now dismissed the recent reports of an agreement with Los Blancos. “There is no agreement on Kylian’s future, just as there have been no discussions about his future. In any case, no type of iNFLuence could dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussions, reflections or decisions,” said Mbappé's camp.

PSG optimistic over Mbappé

PSG are reportedly “optimistic” about renewing the forward’s deal, which expires at the Parc des Princes at the end of the current campaign. After winning the Super Cup against Toulouse on 3 January, Mbappé acknowledged that “there was no point in dragging out a decision until May”, as was the case in 2022.

Mbappé himself previously revealed that, in the summer, he reached an agreement with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to ensure that PSG would be protected if he left the club without renewing his contract. Mbappé agreed to give up his €80million loyalty bonus, so the club, who have already devised a plan without the Frenchman, would not be hit with a financial loss in June.
