How to watch ‘The Netflix Cup’: Formula 1 drivers and pro golfers team up in Las Vegas

Today is the inaugural Netflix Cup, where some of this year’s Formula 1 drivers will compete alongside PGA Tour players in a fierce competition in Las Vegas just before the Grand Prix. The teams are gearing up for the event, which is an exciting contest. It will be Netflix’s first live-streamed sporting event.

When does ‘The Netflix Cup’ start?

The Netflix Cup will be live on Tuesday, 14th November, 2023. The event will start at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT), with the teams taking to the green for an eight-hole match at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas, USA. The competition footage will be available on demand following the event.

‘The Netflix Cup’ preview

Four Formula 1 drivers and four Golfers are set to participate in the Netflix Cup. The F1 drivers are Alex Albon (Williams), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Lando Norris (McLaren), and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari). They will be paired with one of the Golfers - Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas - for the comPetition.

Lando Norris and Rickie Fowler will team up to compete against Carlos Sainz and Justin Thomas. Meanwhile, Alex Albon will join forces with Max Homa to take on Pierre Gasly and Collin Morikawa. It is not yet clear whether each player will take their shots or if they will play in a foursomes match.

In a foursomes match, the pairs alternate shots using the same ball, rather than each player using their ball, as in a fourball format. The team with the lowest score per hole scores a point. The two pairs that win the most points will compete in a final hole.
