How much prize money does the winner get at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship?
The Rolex Series is a collection of professional men’s golf tournaments that are part of the European Tour and are played internationally. This series was introduced in 2017 and initially consisted of eight events, all offering higher prize money compared to regular events on the European Tour. Each event had a minimum purse of US$7,000,000, with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai having an $8 million purse.
In 2021, the Rolex Series was reduced to four tournaments: the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the Scottish Open, the BMW PGA Championship, and the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Although the number of events decreased, the prize funds for each event were increased to $8 million. Additionally, the Dubai Desert Classic was added to the series for the 2022 season.
In 2023, the prize money for all Rolex Series events was raised to $9 million, and this remains the prize purse for the current season as well.

The prestigious golf event at Wentworth in Surrey will feature some of Europe’s top talents, including Rory McIlroy, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood. The tournament will kick off on Thursday morning with high expectations from fans and players alike.
Looking back at the 2023 event, the Kiwi Ryan Fox clinched the title, narrowly defeating Tyrrell Hatton and Aaron Rai by just one shot and taking home a substantial $1.53 million in prize money.
This year, the stakes remain just as high. The winner is set to earn the same sum, while the runner-up will walk away with a $990,000 payout. The unaltered prize money ensures that the champion will receive an amount equivalent to what Fox claimed in the previous year.
