The developments will be located on the Hong Kong Port Island of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the bay area between the airport island and Tung Chung. Phase 2 of AsiaWorld-Expo’s expansion would make it Hong Kong’s largest indoor arena with a seating capacity that exceeds 20,000 pax. Additional convention and exhibition facilities will also be part of the expansion, enabling Hong Kong to solidify its status as a host of a wide range of international events.

Further, Airport City’s expansion plans for the new marina will make it the biggest in Hong Kong with approximately 600 berths for various sea vessels, promoting the region as one of the biggest yacht tourism destinations in Asia. Water leisure and recreation facilities are to be developed alongside as well.

Additionally, the expansion plans include the development of a Jet Fresh Market, which will be operated as a one-stop shop for high-end fresh foods from across the globe. A sports and entertainment complex will be developed to offer visitors a novel combination of outdoor and indoor sports. Plans are underway to include promenades and hotel developments as a part of the expansion.

Hong Kong is one of the most popular destinations in the world and is home to a host of modern attractions as well as cultural hotspots. Some of the most popular places to visit in Hong Kong include Tian Tan Buddha, Ocean Park, Nan Lian Garden, Victoria Harbour, Avenue of Stars, Lantau Island, Lan Kwai Fong, and the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery.
