Beginnings and breakthrough

Despite now being one of the most recognisable faces in Thai Entertainment, Becky didn’t always plan to become an actress. Her academic focus in high school revolved around Business studies, History, English, and drama, with acting as more of a side interest. It wasn’t until 2020 that she found her way into the Entertainment industry, making her debut in TharnType 2: 7 Years of Love in a supporting role as Thanya. This breakthrough paved the way for Becky to sign with Idol Factory in 2021, and take on more roles, slowly building her career in Thai dramas.

Becky and Freen

Following her debut, Becky appeared in Secret Crush on You as Fon, a role that further established her presence in the Thai drama scene. However, it was Gap:The Series that catapulted her to stardom. Starring opposite Freen Sarocha, Becky played Mon, a bright and lively character who gradually wins the heart of her boss, Sam (played by Freen). The chemistry between the two leads turned the show into a global phenomenon, drawing over 500 million views on Youtube and solidifying the series as Thailand’s most successful Girl’s Love (GL) show. The series was successful for not only breaking new ground in GL representation, but also for Becky and Freen’s performances, leading them to win multiple awards, including seven Best Couple titles in 2023.

Upcoming Projects

Becky’s momentum hasn’t slowed down since Gap. This year, she has already starred in two major projects alongside Freen Sarocha. The first is The Loyal Pin, Thailand’s first-ever GL period drama, set in 1950s Thailand. This series is based on a popular novel and generated significant buzz.

Becky and Freen also worked on Uranus 2324, a sci-fi love story between a NASA astronaut and a diver, which premiered in June 2024. Becky’s range as an actress continues to expand as she takes on diverse roles across genres. While there are not many details yet, Becky has been cast in Vamp The Series, a vampire drama that promises to show a darker, more intense side to her acting. This will be her first experience with supernatural themes, and fans are excited to see how she brings her style to the genre.

Brand Ambassador for Aromagicare

With her down-to-earth personality and relatable charm, Becky was named a brand ambassador for Aromagicare, a Filipino wellness brand, alongside her co-star Freen. Both actresses were selected for their strong connection with young audiences and their shared love for wellness products.

What’s Next

On top of her acting career, Becky is also pursuing an online degree in Law with Criminology and Psychology at the University of Essex. Her decision to study law reflects her academic side, proving that she is still pursuing ventures outside the spotlight. Becky has often expressed her interest in understanding human behaviour and justice, and this degree aligns with those passions. Between her studies, a string of new acting projects, and her growing influence, Becky Armstrong is on a trajectory that shows no signs of slowing down. From vampire dramas to period pieces, her versatility as an actress continues to expand.
