Over on the Fresno State side, they lost to Michigan in their opener then rattled off wins over Sacramento State, New Mexico State and New Mexico. The Bulldogs would lose to UNLV and Washington State before another victory over Nevada 24-21.

Matched up against San Jose State on Saturday, the Bulldogs turned a 27-7 edge into a 33-10 victory by the final horn. QB Mikey Keene logged 275 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Elijah Gilliam posted 15 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

I’ll go with Fresno State. The Bulldogs pulled off a pretty clean win over San Jose State last weekend, notching 401 total yards (275 passing), 22 first downs and a nice 12-of-19 rate on third-down tries. On defense Fresno State gave up 385 yards (284 passing) but notched four picks and held the Spartans to just 5-of-15 on third-down conversions.

As for Hawaii, they gained a nice 242 rushing yards (395 total) with 26 first downs in their win over Nevada this past weekend. The two takeaways and 12 Wolf Pack penalties certainly helped as well. The 34 points is more the exception than the norm for the Warriors this year though, so I don’t think they’ll keep pace with Fresno State.
